Accessibility

At The White Horse there is disabled access to the courtyard room, the treatment room, the garden and the restaurant in the main building. Due to it being a listed building there is currently no wheelchair access to the upper levels. Please advise us of any accessibility concerns at the time of booking and we will do our best to find a solution.

Dog Policy

We understand dogs are part of the family. We have our Courtyard Room and The Nest where we allow dogs subject to a £15 service charge. We do not permit dogs within the restaurant however we do in our Bar. If you are dinning with us, we can reserve you a table to dine in the bar. Well-behaved dogs are also welcome to join you in the garden or grounds of the hotel. Please note guide dogs are permitted in all areas of the hotel. Please let us know in advance if you are bringing a dog to stay with us.

Children and Families

The whole family is welcome at The White Horse.  We have two interconnecting rooms that make an ideal family room that sleeps 4 plus 2 children (under 12) for additional supplement.

We can accommodate cots (free of charge) in the Nightingale Suite, our Deluxe and some Classic rooms subject to availability. We can provide a travel cot on request (subject to availability) but please bring your own cot bedding.

Private Events/Functions

The White Horse is a great place to celebrate any occasion with the opportunity to hire our hotel rooms and dining room. For more information, please email us.

Personal Touches

Please let us know if you are celebrating a special occasion and we will do our utmost to accommodate and make your stay memorable.

Dress Code

We do not have a dress code however as ask that shirts are always worn, and muddy boots are wiped at the door.

Contacting Us

During our restaurant service times we are quite busy so please bear with us. You can also contact is via email if your enquiry isn’t urgent.

Breakfast

Our room rates are for room only as we believe you are not always sure if you feel like breakfast until the morning. If you are feeling hungry then pop down to our restaurant where a barista cup of coffee and an a la carte breakfast menu awaits.

Checking in and out

You can check in 3pm-10pm, however, you’re more than welcome to arrive earlier to drop off your luggage and explore what we have to offer.

If you are unable to check in before 10pm we offer a self check in service providing we have valid credit/debit card details on file. Please notify the hotel via email or phone and your key will be left in a secure box in the porch of the hotel by the main entrance and an email will be sent with a one-time code. Please then follow the signs within the hotel to find your room. Please note The Nest and Courtyard Room are located outside the main entrance of the hotel in the Coach House which has its own entrance. Guests who have booked via a third party website must call the hotel with card details in order to use this service.

We do not offer a 24-hour Reception.

Check out is by 11am. We ask that you leave your room by this time, but please enjoy the hotel all day.

We can’t guarantee an early check-in or late check-out, but we will always try our best.

Noise

Please be aware that this is a listed 15th century building and the rooms are not soundproof, so noise will travel. We do provide complimentary earplugs in the rooms for your convenience.  

We ask that you respect other guests and keep the volume of TV, radio and any speakers to an acceptable level.

Parking

All rooms come with one car spot on site. Additional spaces for restaurant guests are available on a first-come-first-served basis.

Cancellations

We understand that sometimes plans change so we offer a 72 hour cancellation policy. However, if you cancel within 72 hours of your arrival date, it will result in us charging you in full for your stay. We can only accept cancellations/amendments via email to reservations@thewhitehorseboughton.com.

Payments

For room reservations, the full value of your stay will be charged to your card on arrival day prior to check-in.

We accept cash, all major credit cards and American Express.

Dining with Us

We are delighted you have chosen to visit and look forward to welcoming you!

Your table will be ready for you to sit down and dine at your chosen time. If you would like a drink in the bar prior to dining, please arrive at least 30 minutes beforehand – this will be based on availability as our bar is cosy!

Should you need to cancel or amend your table reservation please contact us at least 24 hours prior to your booking. If you are celebrating something special then please do let us know and we will do our utmost to make it memorable for you.

Damage

We reserve the right and you hereby authorise us to charge your credit/debit card for any damages incurred to your room or the Hotel during your stay or for any items that are missing when you leave. This includes damage or staining to any of our linen or soft furnishings. We also reserve the right to judge acceptable levels of noise and suitable behaviour of guests. If no reasonable action is taken by the guest when asked to do so The White Horse may terminate the booking at any time without being liable for a refund or compensation. When you check in to the hotel at reception you will be asked to sign a reservation card, by signing that card you are agreeing to all of the above terms and conditions.

Smoking

The White Horse does not permit smoking in any public areas of the hotel. This includes guest bedrooms, bathrooms, WC’s, corridors or fire exits. Vaping is also not permitted in any of the public spaces. There is a designated outdoor area where smoking is permitted.

While all reasonable efforts have been taken to ensure the accuracy of information on this website The White Horse does not accept responsibility for errors or omissions and reserve the right to amend, cancel or vary any of the arrangements featured on this site without notice.

Personal information we collect

At The White Horse we use your data to supply you only with news and offers you may have signed up for. We also use cookies to help us understand our web stats using google analytics, and improve your experience.
